Jeff and I were more than happy to spend the evening with Casey & Shantel in Saskatoon for their engagement pictures back in August. Their wedding is in Prince Albert in September next year, but we decided to visit Saskatoon for a walk down memory lane.

Casey proposed to Shantel back in March near the riverbank by the Bessborough in Saskatoon and as we walked stopping for a few photos here and there, Casey reminisced, telling Jeff and I about the moments leading up to his proposal.  His face filled with excitement and true happiness, he recalls an unexpected twist.

As they were chatting, walking hand in hand; Shantel out of the blue casually mentioned how beautiful it would be to be proposed to at that same spot… and to her surprise, that’s exactly what Casey was about to do.  Casey admits that moment through him off a bit, but it couldn’t have gone better.

As he continued on with the story of his proposal he would look over and Shantel ever so often with a big ol’grin, enjoying giving her the gears and recalling all the joy and blessings they felt in that exact moment… when she said yes.

Their chemistry is pretty amazing and anyone can see that they’re connection is one with deep friendship. The evening spent with Casey & Shantel was one of my favourites… they are incredibly kind, thoughtful and completely made for one another. I look forward to documenting their first day as husband and wife.
