The day started out at Shantelle’s bridesmaids apartment in Saskatoon; the ladies had just been to the the hair salon and I was beginning my day of coverage. Umbrellas in hand, we all bolted from our cars to the apartment door, trying our best to avoid the rapidly falling rain. Immediately inside, everyone made themselves at home. With some makeup applications taking place at the kitchen table, almost everyone was in a separate room finishing last minute touches, on dresses, gathering bouquets and applying makeup in the bathroom upstairs. Everyone doing their best to help Shantelle in her moment… and keep her mind of the inclementing weather.
Trent was patiently awaiting his bride through a long hallway, as do to the rain they made a last minute decision to move the ceremony indoors at Boffins Gardens. They were married under the beautiful wall of window light surrounded by everyone they loved. As soon as the ceremony was complete, the rain took a 40 minute break and we were able to get some portraits in the garden, as planned. Undeterred by the unfriendly weather, their fantastic wedding party grabbed a few more umbrellas and we hit the town for some more photos. Off to Osler for their reception, upon arrival the hall was full of fabulous family, volunteering to finish putting out wine, glasses and napkins. The day and night remained beautiful (despite the weather) and the inclusion of their friends, family and great tunes had the dance floor full for everyone to dance the night away.
Thank you both for a fantastic day. It was truly a privilege to spend the day with you and your fantastic wedding party. Thank you to your family and friends for treating me like one of their own. That means so much!
